Language Skills

For many children, their first words usually develop around the age of one, quickly followed by longer and longer sentences.

But not all children follow the same path. Some children may have delays in language development which can make parents concerned, especially when compared with other children the same age. However, language therapy offers various strategies to support language development.

Language therapy supports a child's development in multiple ways. The understanding of language, comprehending instructions, the expression of language, linking words together, social language use, and literacy skills. Tailored interventions are also available for specific needs like Down syndrome, children on the autistic spectrum or other specific conditions.

If you're concerned about your child's language skills, trust your instinct and seek guidance. There are effective ways to support them on their journey.
